Mission

“To improve the quality of life of the citizens of Richland County by maintaining high quality of professional ethics, always reporting to Law Enforcement any acts of criminal behavior in our community. Our Mission will be accomplished through the collaborative efforts of the Richland County Sheriff's Department and our community, always representing the RCSD in high standards through integrity and professional behavior, and our efforts and goals should always be toward improving and giving back to our community.”

Purpose

The purposes for which the organization is formed are to bring together graduates of the Richland County Sheriff's Department Citizens Academy to promote and improve community relations, crime prevention awareness, provide opportunities for alumni continuing education, provide comradery and fellowship with common goals to the Mission and to provide involvement and assistance, in an appropriate manner, to the activities of the Richland County Sheriff's Department (RCSD).

Commitment

Members pledge to attend monthly meetings, held on the second Tuesday of every month, and volunteer to support the association’s mission and purpose.

In summary, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a proactive, volunteer-based force dedicated to building unity and collaboration between law enforcement and the local community, focusing on education, outreach, and volunteerism.
